Mom's Notes: We ended the school year with Charlotte's Web, and started the new with Stuart Little. )This was intentional, as a reading of an E.B. White biography was up next, as part of our New York + trip prep study...) Stuart Little surprised us - in good ways. This city-dwelling mouse shares some wisdom, makes some mistakes, presumes he knows it all, then trusts fate when he realizes he doesn't. He had us laughing and quoting, especially after the substitute teacher chapter! And we now have plans to visit "Sailboat Pond" while in Central Park.
